Asuma Sarutobi

Asuma Sarutobi is one of the awesomest (yeah, I wrote awesomest! So sue me!) character of the Naruto universe!! He was tragically killed by Hidan (A-hole!!!). 

He is the Third Hokage's son. His most notable characteristics are his beard and his ever-present cigarrette. He is Konohamaru's uncle, and not his father as was originally thought. 

He was the sensei of Group 10 (Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji). He is a really mature guy, who liked to play shogi with Shikamaru (which he liked a lot!). 

The nature of his chakra is wind, which he takes advantage of it, by making his special knives very powerful weapons that can cut anything!!! (What would happen if his knives fought against Wolverine's adamantium claws?) 

He was one of the twelve guardians of the Feudal Lord of Fire.

His past is kinda unknown, and he appears few times in the first part of Naruto. In Naruto: Shippuden, it is shown that Asuma was a bad-ass rebel. He joined the Twelve Guardians to protect the Fuedal Lord of Fire. He didn't have a good relationship with his father because they argued a lot. :(

Before he died, he admitted that he had been a fool because he didn't understand nor appreciate his father's words, which were advice for him on how to become a great shinobi. :'/

He saved Shikamaru from the Sound Ninjas, which were chasing a team consisting of Naruto, Sakura, Pakkun, and Shikamaru which were following Sasuke since he left to find Gaara.

He fought agains Kisame when he came to the Leaf Village with Itachi.

In the Shippuden part, he alongside of Shikamaru and two jonins, he fought against Hidan and Kakuzu. During the battle, he got seriously wounded since he got caught by Hidan's curse. Shikamaru saved his life by making Hidan leave the circle of the curse. But, Hidan came back and finished his ceremony, killing Asuma. :'/

Agonizing, Asuma managed to give his final words to his discipules:

-To Ino, he tells her to take care of Choji and Shikamaru so that they don't do their crazy stuff, to not let Sakura beat her in ninjutsus, and specially in love. 

- To Choji, he tells him to be strong, be a good friend with Shikamaru, and even to go on a diet! (hahahahaha XD )

- To Shikamaru, he tells him to never give up in becoming one of the best ninjas of the world, and that he could even be a hokage. Finally, he reminded Shikamaru that if he was a pice of shogi, he would be the knight and that the king are the young ninjas that in the future are to protect him.

In the series, he is thought to have a relationship with Kurenai. When he had free time, they were usually together. :O One time, Kakashi asked them if they were on a date, and Kurenai blushed. After his death, Kurenai and Shikamaru are in Asuma's grave, and she reveals that they indeed had a relationship, and that she is pregnant with Asuma's baby!!! :O Shikamaru swears that he will take care of the baby (awww!!!)

Asuma was revived by the homosexual of Kabuto, but is now under his (Kabuto's) command as a zombie >:/
